Ranchi: Assembly Speaker and chairperson of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (Jharkhand branch) Rabindranath Mahato is in Barbados to attend the 68th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference. Assembly member Naveen Jaiswal is also part of the delegation representing the state.
Mahato will participate in the conference being held in Bridgetown, where the central theme is “The Commonwealth Global.” The event will bring together legislators and experts to deliberate on key global challenges, including the crisis of democracy, technological transformation, climate change, and social inequality.
Several workshops on parliamentary affairs will be held during the conference, where Mahato will deliver an address. The event is expected to provide Jharkhand with an opportunity to strengthen its presence on the global stage and build new institutional ties.
