Ranchi: It appears that all the parties which are part of the mahagathbandhan in Jharkhand have finally reached an agreement on
seat sharing for the Lok Sabha polls however any official announcement in this regard is expected around or after the festival of Holi. All the parties which are part of the mahagathbandhan would be making an official announcement in this regard in the presence of
JMM supremo Shibu Soren.
On Saturday JMM’s Hemant Soren Babulal Marandi of the JVM (P) and in charge for party affairs of Congress in Jharkhand RPN Singh co in charge Umang Singhar and Jharkhand unit chief Dr Ajay Kumar along with legislature wing leader Alamgir Aalam met AICC president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi. Talking to the press Mr Marandi Soren and RPN Singh said that agreement has been reached and its announcement would be made most likely before holi.
Hemant Soren said that after Holi in presence of jmm supremo Shibu Soren the seats of the mahagathbandhan would be announced and whatever suspense or problems were there they have been corrected. He said that the opposition has agreed on the point that under the grand alliance a better and strong performance needed to be shown however he did not divulge as to which parties have been given how many seats.
After meeting Rahul Gandhi Hemant Soren also tweeted that he had met the Congress leader and had held positive discussions over solving the issues related to mahagathbandhan in Jharkhand and in this fight the left parties would also be included. RPN Singh who was also present on the occasion said that there is no dispute in the mahagathbandhan and a formal announcement in this regard would be made in the presence of Shibu Soren.
On the Left parties, he said that first, they need to co-ordinate amongst themselves. Meanwhile, after the seat sharing has been finalized in mahagathbandhan in Bihar its impact is somewhere also being felt in Jharkhand and after the seats are finalized in Bihar then in Jharkhand also the seat of the RJD would be finalized. Lalu Prasad Yadav has demanded the Chatra Lok Sabha seat for his party but RJD workers are also pressurizing for the Palamu seat however any decision on which seat will be given to the RJD would only be decided after having talk with Tejaswi Yadav.
