Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said the social and economic development of Jharkhand is a priority for his government.
Speaking after inaugurating 50 ‘Nandghar’ in Bokaro district via virtual mode he said that running of these Nandghars by the ECL Vedanta is a very laudable step. He said that with the start of these Nandghars a new face has been given to the Anganwadi Kendras located in the rural areas and it was an important step for the development of women and children in the rural areas.
He also asked the Vedanta Group to frame special plans in the area of health care and said that the company should work to provide better healthcare facilities to the people of the area. He said that the more facilities are provided to the people the more they would stand with the company. The Chief Minister said that when with cooperation of all work in the interest of the people will be done then only social and economic development will take place.
The Chief Minister said that the government wants to create more employment in the state by industrial development. He said that for the development of industries in the state he had on March 6 addressed a stakeholders meeting in New Delhi. He said that a new industrial policy will be framed in the state which will act as a bridge between the state government and the industrialists.
The Chief Minister said that there was no lack of resources in the state what was only needed is their better utilisation. He said that the state government wanted to set up Industries in every district and asked the corporate houses to speed up local development through CSR.
The Chief Minister said that through the concept of Nandghar a new face has been given to the Anganwadi centers where apart from training of women different works are being also done for all round development of the children. He also had a virtual tour with of a Nandghar at Sindorpeti and also interacted with the Anganwadi workers and villagers.
