Singer Aastha Gill Describes Her Cannes 2025 Red Carpet Debut as ‘Surreal and Dreamlike’

Mumbai (IANS) – Singer Aastha Gill made her highly anticipated debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2025 on Friday, marking a major milestone in her artistic journey.

On the third day of the prestigious event, Aastha walked the iconic red carpet and described the moment as “surreal” and “dreamlike,” reflecting on the years of dedication, creativity, and cultural influence that brought her to this global stage.

“Walking the red carpet at Cannes was surreal—it felt like a dream woven with years of music, culture, and creativity,” she shared. “I wanted my look to reflect not just who I am as an artist, but also the vibrancy and power of where I come from. I’m taking home a beautiful experience.”

Aastha also shared photos of her dazzling red carpet appearance on Instagram, captioning them: “Made my Cannes Film Festival debut, and today, I know dreams really do come true. #Cannes2025.” She wore an elegant off-shoulder gown paired with a bold statement necklace, drawing praise for her sophisticated style.

Aastha Gill is best known for her chart-topping hits like “DJ Wale Babu,” “Kamariya” from Stree, and “Naagin.” She rose to fame through her energetic contributions to Bollywood music, including popular tracks like “Dhup Chik” from Fugly and “Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai” from Khoobsurat. Beyond Bollywood, she has also released several successful singles and collaborated with various artists across the Indian music scene.

Cannes 2025 continues to celebrate Indian talent, with Anupam Kher making a powerful red-carpet appearance for the screening of his film Tanvi The Great. Nitanshi Goel of Laapataa Ladies and actor Chhaya Kadam also turned heads with their striking presence.

Other prominent Indian celebrities expected at the 78th edition of the festival include Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karan Johar, Janhvi Kapoor, Neeraj Ghaywan, Vishal Jethwa, Ishaan Khatter, and Aditi Rao Hydari.

The Cannes Film Festival 2025 is taking place from May 13 to May 24 along the picturesque French Riviera, celebrating global cinema, fashion, and culture.
