Mumbai: Actress Shraddha Kapoor believes there is something uniquely calming about rediscovering one’s own city after dark, saying that nothing matches the comfort of late-night drives through familiar streets.
The actress recently shared a video on her Instagram Stories, capturing herself inside a car during the early hours of the morning, with the iconic Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus illuminated in the background. She set the clip to A.R. Rahman’s soulful track “Rehna Tu” from the 2009 film Delhi-6. Captioning the post, she wrote, “Nothing better than night drives in your own city.”
Shraddha, daughter of veteran actor Shakti Kapoor and the most-followed Indian woman on Instagram, began her acting journey with a brief role in the 2010 film Teen Patti. She landed her first lead role in Luv Ka The End (2011), but rose to widespread fame with Mohit Suri’s romantic musical Aashiqui 2 in 2013.
Over the years, she has starred in several notable films, including Haider, Ek Villain, ABCD 2, Baaghi, Chhichhore, Saaho, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, and the Stree franchise. She is set to reprise her role in Stree 3, which is scheduled for release in August 2027.
Shraddha will also headline a biopic on legendary Marathi folk artist Vithabai Narayangaonkar. Titled Eetha, the film will trace the life and journey of one of Maharashtra’s most celebrated Tamasha performers. In addition, she will be seen in the upcoming film Nagin, produced by Nikhil Dwivedi.
Earlier this month, on January 9, the actress shared sunlit photographs of herself on social media, showcasing a fresh, no-makeup look. Alongside the pictures, she playfully wrote in Hindi, “Who doesn’t like sunshine? I’ll block you right now if you don’t.”
