Security increased in Ranchi after terrorist Pannu’s threat for India – England Test Match

Ranchi:  The police have come into alert mode after receiving a threat from terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu to stop the Test match to be held between India and England from 23 to 27 February at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi.

Security arrangements have been increased from Hotel Radisson Blu to JSCA Stadium. Players from England and India have stayed in the Radisson Blu Hotel. Due to which security arrangements have been tightened outside the hotel also.

Players will be provided security arrangements in three layers during the match. More than 1500 police personnel will be deployed in the airport, hotel and stadium. 

Six IPS, more than 10 DSPs and more than 1500 police forces will handle the security arrangements during the test match. Decisions are being taken on what kind of changes will be made in the traffic route, parking and what kind of security cordon will be created outside the hotel. 

Security arrangements have also been made at the ticket counter. Full care is being taken to ensure that there is no chaos regarding tickets and that no ticket is sold in black.
