Chaibasa: Security personnel have destroyed a 7 kg IED in Chaibasa, Jharkhand.
Naxalites had laid land mines to target the security forces near Vanagaram Meralgada of Goilkera police station area of the district.
The security forces recovered a 7 kg IED bomb from here and destroyed it.
The security forces had already planned for this.
According to Sources, it is suspected that IEDs are still hidden at many places.
Search operation is being conducted in the entire area.
There is a war going on in these areas between Naxalites and security forces for the last 15 months. Naxalites have laid IED bombs in the forest paths.
Security forces are gradually moving closer to the Naxalites while destroying the IED bomb.
Top leaders of CPI Maoist organization Misir Besra, Anmol, Mochhu, Chaman, Kande, Ajay Mahato, Sagen Angriya, Ashwin and their squads are active in these areas.
To deal with the Naxalites, teams of Chaibasa Police, Cobra 209 BN, 203 BN, 205 BN, Jharkhand Jaguar and CRPF 60 BN, 197 BN, 157 BN, 174 BN, 193 BN, 134 BN, 26 BN, 190 BN, 11 BN. A joint operation team has been formed and the campaign is being carried out continuously.
Security forces in the border areas of village Kuida, Chhota Kuida, Maradiri, Meralgada, Hathiburu, Tila Beda Boy Pisang, Katamba, Bayhatu, Boroy, Lemsadih under Goilkera police station and villages Husipi, Rajabasa, Tumbahaka, Regada, Patatorab, Goburu, Luiya under Tonto police station.
During this operation many soldiers were injured due to land mines.
