Ranchi: Regarding Lok Sabha elections 2024, voting is to be held on May 25 from 7 am to 5 pm in Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency under Ranchi Sadar subdivision.
In this connection, Sadar SDO Utkarsh Kumar has imposed Section 144 under Sadar sub-division.
This prohibitory order will remain in force from 5 pm on May 23 to 9 pm on May 25.
In the order issued, it has been said that during the voting, candidates, their associates and anti-social elements may try to forcibly capture the booths and conduct bogus voting.
Due to which such programs can have an adverse effect on law and order and the sentiments of the general public due to mutual hatred and rivalry between the opponents.
Also, this opportunity can be taken advantage of by undesirable elements, which can create serious law and order problems.
