Ranchi: Congress on Monday protested against the central government in all the district headquarters including Ranchi against inflation and corruption. Ranchi District Congress staged a protest in front of Raj Bhawan in Ranchi.
State Congress President Rajesh Thakur said that loot of 100 months, then a discount of 200. It seems that Rakshabandhan comes in BJP’s calendar only once in ten years and BJP is running a thanksgiving serial. This is sheer injustice to the public.
He said that when the votes started decreasing, the Prime Minister started distributing election gifts. LPG cylinder worth Rs 500 was sold for Rs 1100 in nine and a half years. The back of the common man was broken. When India is troubled by the fear of alliance, it is once again conspiring with the public by reducing Rs.200. He said that the name of the party in whose DNA is loot is NDA.
He said that in the last nine and a half years, the Modi government looted 31.37 crore rupees in cooking gas and more than 68 crore rupees in Ujjwala Yojana. Former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahai said that the prices of ration material and petrol and diesel which were there in 2013 during the Manmohan Singh government of Congress, have almost doubled during the current Modi government.
Modi government is making the rich richer and the poor poorer. Isn’t it very surprising that Prime Minister Modi, who never cared about the suffering of the common people due to the steep increase in the price of all essential commodities including LPG cylinders, realized the pain of the common people after years as the elections approached?
The price of LPG has increased continuously since 2014 and has more than doubled in the last 9 years.
