Latehar: Revenue sub-inspector of Lohardaga has been arrested for taking a bribe for 6 Lakh. The name of the Revenue Sub Inspector is Rama Mahato.
It is alleged that Rama had asked for Rs. 6 Lakh from a woman named Saroj Kumar Khatri in the name of giving the mutation papers.
The woman was unhappy with the bribe, so she informed the ACB team about it. The team that arrived to verify the case arrested the zonal officer red-handed. Further action is underway against the arrested officer.
Regarding the matter, complainant Saroj Kumar Khatri said that in October-2023, he had purchased 4 decimal land in Lohardaga from Vandana Rani in the name of his daughter-in-law Priyanka Khatri. Whose mutation was given in the zonal office Lohardaga 6 months ago.
After the mutation, when the papers were asked from Rama Mahato, Revenue Sub-Inspector, Lohardaga, a bribe of Rs. 6 Lakh was demanded from her in exchange for giving the papers. The plaintiff did not want to get the work done by paying a bribe.
