Ranchi: District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha held a meeting of the Flying Squad on Saturday.
In this, there was special discussion about the implementation of the code of conduct after the announcement of Lok Sabha elections 2024 and following all the instructions of the Election Commission of India.
DC held a series of discussions in the meeting with all the officers/officials related to the Flying Squad formed for the preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha General Elections 2024.
Besides, the concerned Flying Squad officers and officials were told to complete all the election processes as per the time table as per the provisions given under the instructions issued by the Election Commission of India.
While giving instructions to the Flying Squad team, he said that for the related implementation of Standard Operating Procedure For Seizure and Release of Cash and Other Items and Election Expenditure Monitoring, the Flying Squad Team (FS) through C-vigil will monitor the excessive expenditure of election campaign, cash and Various teams like FS have been formed to monitor the prevention and monitoring of expenditure during elections on inducement to vote through material, movement of illegal weapons, ammunition, liquor, anti-social elements etc.
SST, VST, VVT, AT and AEO should be formed block wise continuously and all concerned officers should play an important role in maintaining the purity of elections and compliance with the model code of conduct for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024.
While giving instructions to all the officials, the DC said that the deputed FSs and SST3 should fulfill their responsibilities while ensuring necessary facilities are provided to all the concerned officers.
DC directed to make arrangements for CCTV cameras, drop gates, temporary tents for sitting, chairs, drinking water and electricity at each check post.
