Ranchi: A meeting of the District Level Mining Task Force was organized under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan. In this meeting, Deputy Commissioner gave necessary directions to SP Rural, SP City, Additional Collector, SDM Ranchi, SDM Bundu, all DSPs, all COs and station in-charges.
He gave strict instructions to all the concerned DSPs and circle officers and station in-charges to take the strictest action if any illegal mining is found. He further instructed that it will be mandatory for stone quarrying, sand quarrying, brick kiln and crusher operators to display their license at their workplace, otherwise strict action will be taken.
All the firms which have the documents of Consent to Establish and Consent to Operate have been directed to display that license on their site. If any material related to mining is being transported, then instructions have been given to keep the necessary documents at the time of traffic also.
If documents are not produced then FIR will be registered. In the past, 13 check posts were made by the district level task force to prevent illegal mining. Deputy Commissioner has said that the number of check posts can be increased if required. He has directed all the officials to run a special drive for illegal mining from June 1 to June 15.
