Jamshedpur: As Ram Navami celebrations reach their peak in the city, weather conditions on Saturday (March 28) may pose challenges during the immersion procession.
Cloudy skies, brief spells of rain, and strong winds are likely, particularly in the latter part of the day, which could affect the movement of processions.
“We are closely monitoring the situation and have advised all akharas to remain cautious, especially due to the risk of lightning and strong winds,” an official from the Ranchi Meteorological Centre said.
Organisers are also preparing for possible disruptions. “Devotees’ safety is our priority. We are making announcements asking people to avoid standing near electric poles or trees if weather conditions worsen,” said a member of a local akhara committee in Jamshedpur.
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 35°C, while rising humidity may make the weather slightly uncomfortable despite relatively lower heat.
