Raghubar seeks special assistance in agriculture, irrigation, roads and rail sectors from Niti Ayog

Ranchi Jul 4: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that under cooperative federalism the center and the states were working as a team to build a New India.

In the meeting with the higher level officials of the Niti Aayog here he said that due to political instability the state has lagged behind in development however after a full majority government was formed in December 2014 development has gathered pace as policies have been framed and executed on ground and are being monitored which is now showing positive results. He demanded for special assistance to the state in agriculture irrigation roads and rail sectors. He said that the aayog can help in establishing coordination with the centre.

 

He said that the state government is encouraging small and cottage industries for job creation and as per the likes of the big corporates and industries the small cottage industries should also get subsidy and easy loans which will help to create a network of industries and people in large number will also get jobs.

 

He said that if the workers will get modern machines and subsidy than their source of income will also increase. Mr Das said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target to provide job to every hand and water in every field for which the state government wad also working with full commitment. He asked the aayog to make recommendations to the central ministries and assured that the government will do necessary follow up.
