Ranchi, May 10: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das inaugurated different consumer services of the Department of Energy and distributed appointment letters to the people at Project Building.
Addressing the people on the occasion he said that every house will get power supply by Diwali this year. He said that electricity is essential for development and the government aims to make Jharkhand a developed state by 2022 for which power is a must. He said that officers who are not working properly will have to bear consequences. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called upon that when the 75th Independence Day will be celebrated in 2022, there will be no one left homeless, illiterate, unemployed, without treatment or without electricity and Jharkhand is moving forward to fulfill this goal, he said.
The Chief Minister said that simple, convenient, efficient and empowering online services have been started on this day and everyone should take training to new technology as this will benefit consumers, eliminate corruption and provide direct link to people.
He said that day was an important day for the power department as 493 people have been provided appointment letters. He said that since assuming office in 2014 his government has so far appointed 2000 personnel in the department and 2200 more appointments will be made. The availability of the manpower will speed up the work of the department the Chief Minister said that power personnel are being given POS machines through Jharkhand State Co-operative Bank which will help consumers to make easy payment of bills.
