Latehar: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that his government is dedicated and determined toward the welfare state and is committed to bringing the state to the threshold of development. Addressing the people as he reached this district as part of his Khatiyani Johar Yatra he said that in this episode he is visiting the districts to see whether the development and welfare schemes run by the government are actually taking shape or not.
Earlier the Chief Minister was warmly and enthusiastically welcomed by the people on his arrival here. The Chief Minister said that now there will be no compromise on the quality of education in government schools. He said that the government is now providing better education facilities to children than private schools and the school of Excellence has been opened with this thought. The Chief Minister was inspecting the newly constructed academic building of the Government Plus Two High School, selected as an excellent school.
He took stock of other arrangements here including ICT lab, computer room, library, classroom, auditorium and teachers room. On this occasion, he also distributed textbooks among boys and girls. He said that studies will start in the excellent school from the new session. English medium will be taught here and it will be affiliated to CBSE. The Chief Minister inspected the children’s hostel run by the Welfare Department. He inquired about the arrangements here and the facilities available to the children.
During this, the children apprised the Chief Minister about some difficulties being faced here. The Chief Minister said that the layout of the hostels is being changed. The repair work of the buildings has started and they will not need to cook here. Along with the convenience of the cook watchmen will also be deployed for security and food grains will be arranged here by the government.
He asked the students to study first and assured them that rest all their needs will be fulfilled by the government. He also took stock of the Phulo- Jhano Didi canteen run by the women’s self-help group in the Collectorate building. He expressed great happiness over the arrangement here. The Chief Minister said that Phulo-Jhano Aashirwad Yojana is being run to connect women with respectable livelihoods.
The purpose of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to women who are forced to sell hadiya and liquor so that they can start a respectable livelihood and lead their families in a better way.
The Chief Minister also inspected the 24×7 emergency service here. Here he especially saw the arrangement of the diagnostic lab and OPD and took information about the entire system from the doctors and other personnel working here. He said that no negligence will be tolerated in the treatment of patients.
The top priorities of the government include the betterment of health and education and for this, the government is providing all necessary facilities. He asked the medical staff to make sure that patients get the necessary benefits.
