Ranchi : Joto Pahan alias Somnath Mundu, accused of shooting businessman Roshan Lal Bhagat near Banjara Bazar of Bundu police station area, has been arrested by the police. He is a resident of Bartoli in Khunti district.
In his confession statement, he has accepted the involvement of himself and his associates in the incident. Police is raiding in search of other criminals. The police have recovered a country made pistol, three live cartridges and a mobile phone from the arrested criminal.
On the instructions of SSP Kishore Kaushal, the police team formed under the leadership of Bundu SDPO Ajay Kumar has taken this action. According to the police, Roshan Lal Bhagat is a trader of paddy, lacquer and mahua.
On July 11, at 8.30 am, he left his home for the shop located in Banjara Bazar with Rs 2.50 lakh. While he was sitting at his shop, three bike-borne criminals suddenly came there. He asked the merchant to give the said money.
The criminals opened fire during this, due to which businessman Roshan Lal Bhagat was badly injured.
