PM Vishwakarma Yojana will prove to be a boon for craftsmen, economy will also become stronger – Arjun Munda

Ranchi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched PM Vishwakarma Yojana on Vishwakarma Puja. Launching of programs were organized simultaneously at 70 places in the country including Delhi, one of which was Ranchi. A program was also organized at Aryabhatta Auditorium Ranchi, in which Union Minister Arjun Munda was the chief guest. 

On this occasion, Munda said that this scheme will prove to be a boon for crores of craftsmen and artisans of the country in the coming times. Craftsmen and artisans living in rural areas will benefit from this scheme.

Munda said Lord Vishwakarma is worshiped as the first creator and architect of the universe. To extend benefit to the traditional craftsmen and artisans, the PM has started this scheme on the day of Vishwakarma Puja. India’s economy will become stronger with PM Vishwakarma Yojana. 

He said that many artisans and craftsmen of Jharkhand will benefit from the scheme and the economic conditions of skilled craftsmen will improve. This scheme will be beneficial to keep the age-old tradition, culture and diverse heritage of Jharkhand alive and prosperous through local products, arts and crafts. 18 types of traditional businesses have been included in this scheme. 

This is a big opportunity for those who were not able to start employment due to lack of capital and skills. A budget provision of Rs 13,000 crore has been made for this. The objective of PM Vishwakarma Yojana is to empower the last person. Arjun Munda said, under this scheme, along with financial benefits, special training programs and tool kits will be provided, through which artisans will be able to hone their skills.

Jharkhand Labor Minister Satyanand Bhokta, MP Sanjay Seth, Deepak Prakash, Vishnu Dayal Ram, Sunil Singh, Sudarshan Bhagat, Aditya Sahu, Sameer Oraon, MLA CP Singh and Samri Lal, besides many artisans and beneficiaries of the scheme from Ranchi were present in the program. .
