PIL in HC seeks CBI probe in recovery of money from Cong RS MP Dheeraj Sahu premises

Ranchi: The case of recovery of money from different companies and their locations related to Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Sahu has reached the High Court. Daniyal Danish, a resident of Jamshedpur, has approached the Jharkhand High Court to get the matter investigated by the central agencies CBI and ED.

He has filed a public interest litigation in the High Court. The PIL states that the seizure of such a huge amount of cash from the premises of an MP is a serious matter and clearly shows that it is an economic offence. Where did this money come from and who has whose share in this money is a matter of investigation, hence the entire matter should be investigated by CBI and ED.

It may be noted that on December 6, the IT team had raided several places related to Dheeraj Sahu and recovered 30 almirahs full of money. According to the information, in the counting till now the figure has crossed Rs 350 crore.
