Peaceful Eid-ul-Fitr Celebrations Across Country Under Tight Security

New Delhi: Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated peacefully across the country on Saturday, with authorities ensuring tight security arrangements as the festival coincided with the ongoing Chaitra Navratri.

Marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr was observed with prayers, feasts, and community gatherings across India. Streets in several cities saw increased police presence to maintain law and order and ensure smooth celebrations.

In a heartening display of communal harmony, members of the Hindu community in Jaipur welcomed Muslim worshippers by showering flower petals as they gathered for namaz at an Eidgah. Meanwhile, security was heightened around the revered Ajmer Sharif Dargah, where large numbers of devotees assembled for prayers.

In the national capital, additional security arrangements were made near Jamia Hamdard University, with authorities focusing on crowd management and coordination with community leaders. Officials stated that preparations had been underway for several days, including peace committee meetings to prevent any untoward incidents.

Areas such as Uttam Nagar witnessed heavy deployment of police personnel following recent tensions, with officials ensuring that people could offer prayers in a safe and secure environment. Similar precautions were taken in multiple districts of Uttar Pradesh, including sensitive regions like Sambhal, which had previously experienced unrest.

Cities like Hardoi and Moradabad reported peaceful observance of Eid prayers, with local administrations, police, and volunteer organisations working together to maintain order. Authorities thanked citizens for their cooperation in ensuring harmony during the festivities.

In Madhya Pradesh as well, including Dewas, security was intensified with additional police forces, patrol teams, and CCTV monitoring deployed across key locations.

Overall, the coordinated efforts of law enforcement agencies and the cooperation of citizens helped ensure that Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations across the country remained peaceful and marked by unity and mutual respect.
