Pathalgadi attempt in capital: Two dozen men with sign boards reach Doranda

Ranchi: More than two dozen men hailing from different tribal communities gathered at Doranda in the state capital and tried to put up a signboard near the Ambedkar Chowk.

In the signboard, it was written that since Ranchi was under scheduled area therefore the administration will be in the hands of the tribals. However, as soon as the information spread senior officials of the district administration immediately reached the spot.

Ranchi Traffic SP Ajit Peter Dungdung along with other officials had a heated debate with the men after which the group returned without putting up the signboard.

Dhanuwa Oraon said Ranchi is among the list of scheduled districts in which the administration and control will be in the hands of tribals as per the provisions of Article 13. Moreover, the area belongs to Munda and Oraons therefore Pahada system will be implemented.
