Passenger Bus overturn while travelling to Rajrappa, 1 killed and 14 injured

Ranchi: The bus (BR 25 PA 1455) going from Dhamapur village of Ghosi police station of Jehanabad district to perform puja at Rajrappa temple met with an accident near GT road Bela Mod Pipra cut of Chauparan block of Hazaribagh district.

The accident happened in such a way that all four wheels of the bus turned upside down. A 20-year-old youth traveling in the bus died in the accident. The name of the deceased is Sikandar Kumar. His father’s name is Binod Yadav.

14 people have been injured in this incident. Injured were taken to Barhi sub-divisional hospital. Where 3 seriously injured were referred to Sadar Hospital Hazaribagh after first aid. 6 lane construction work is going on near Bela Mod located in Pipra village of Chauparan police station area.

Due to the negligence of the new route, the bus suddenly lost its balance at the turning point and overturned at 3.40 am on Sunday. Due to which the front wheel collided with the divider and the tire blasted. The villagers informed the Chauparan police station and the ambulance.

According to Sources, Mantu Prasad, a resident of Dhampur of Ghosi police station area of Jehanabad district, had bought the old bus. Whom he was taking his relatives and the people of the village to the Rajarappa temple to worship.

Mantu Prasad’s son Kaushal Kumar said, “There were about 30 people including men, women and children in the bus.” Relatives said, “Vinod Yadav’s 20-year-old son Sikandar Kumar died while going from Barhi to Sadar Hospital Hazaribagh.” At the same time, the condition of Sanju Devi, sister of Mantu Prasad, the owner of the said bus, is also said to be critical. 

After primary treatment at Barhi Sub-Divisional Hospital, his brothers Pintu Prasad and Chintu Prasad have taken him to Ranchi for treatment. An atmosphere of chaos prevailed at the accident site and the sub-divisional hospital.
