Ranchi: The Railways has decided once again decided to start the pantry service in the Rajdhani Express.
After the start of the service, people will need not carry food from their homes on the train. The pantry service in the Rajdhani Express trains has been started from January 15. The railways said that in train number 20839 and 20840 pantry car service has been restarted.
In train number 20839 Ranchi-New Delhi Rajdhani Express the pantry car service was started from January 15 itself while in train number 20840 New Delhi-Ranchi Rajdhani Express it will be available from January 17.
However, for the passengers who did not excise the option earlier will be able to book the food through the IRCTC website. Travellers who have taken tickets from the PRS counter too will be able to avail of the service through the IRCTC website.
In another option, the passengers can avail the pantry car service by booking the food through the on-duty train Superintendent by paying additional Rs 50 along with the catering charges and avail of the services of the pantry.
