Ranchi : On the instructions of the Election Commission of India, under the guidance of Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar, the training cum certification program of Assistant Returning Officers of all parliamentary constituencies of the state for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 is starting from January 16, which will continue till January 20, at the Shri Krishna Institute of Public Administration.
In the program, all the officials are being given special training by the Chief Electoral Officer and NLMT trainers of the state on the important points related to the responsibilities of the ARO of the Lok Sabha elections. As part of the training, officials are also being given training related to EVM, VVPAT, nomination, postal ballot and election related materials.
The Chief Electoral Officer gave information about the guidelines, election procedures and specifics of the Election Commission of India. Besides, technical information related to EDC, ETPBS is also being given. National Level Master Trainers are also explaining in detail the procedure laid down for all categories of voters exercising their franchise with the help of postal ballot, regarding EVM and VVPAT awareness.
Tests are also being taken on subjects related to officials. Doubts are also being resolved. Additional Chief Electoral Officer Sandeep Singh, Additional Chief Electoral Officer Neha Arora, OSD Geeta Choubey, Under Secretary Dev Das Dutta, Under Electoral Officer Sunil Kumar are participating in this program.
