National Games Scam: CBI raids continue

Ranchi: CBI raids were conducted even on Friday in connection with the 34th National Sports Games Scam. The CBI has conducted raids at the NGOC (National Games Organizing Committee) office in Morhabadi. The CBI team also raided here on Thursday.

The CBI is searching for important papers and documents related to the sports scam by raiding. The CBI has named RK Anand, working president of the 34th National Games, SS Hashmi, treasurer Madhukant Pathak and the then sports director PC Mishra as accused in the case.

In this case, FIR was registered under section 120(B) read 420 of IPC and 13(1)(D) read with section 13(2) of PC Act 1988. In 2011, before the organization of the National Games, cases of irregularities in the purchase of sports materials, sports, contracts, and irregularities in construction came to the fore.

After which in the year 2010, ACB had registered an FIR in this regard. A day earlier, the CBI raided 16 places of 13 people, including the then Sports Minister, Congress leader Bandhu Tirkey, regarding this matter.
