MOU signed Between IIM Ranchi and Rasabeda Village Committee

Ranchi: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Rasabeda Village Committee in the presence of IIM Ranchi Director Prof. Deepak Kumar Shrivastava in Ranchi on Thursday.

Prof. Deepak Kumar Shrivastava said, we are going to bring social change through our programme Young Change Makers.

Now, International Students, who are associated with IIM Ranchi will also join the Young Change Makers Programme.

He said, to make a social impact is our priority.

It is seen that our Commitment is fulfilled.

Shrivasatva said, We are donating about Rupees 1 Lakh 80 Thousand to the villagers of Rasabeda in Angara.

Villagers said we often face the problem of Elephant attacks and Monkey bites in the village.

Students of IIM Ranchi studied the problems of the village and gave a solution to the agricultural farmers to grow the plants of Mushroom and Chilli, so that monkey and elephant both will be in trouble to attack the crops.

The Entire Village is filled with Flora and Fauna and a source of eco-tourism.

Sustainable Development is the source of Young Change Makers Programme, said Kanishk Upadhyaya, Student of IIM Ranchi.

In their Research Studies they find that Villagers don’t have bank accounts and are unable to transact money through the Self Help Group.

Students also studied Rich Cultural and Geographical Diversities during their research in Rasabeda Village.

By the End of December 2023 they will again visit the village and will bring solutions to the problems of Villagers, Said IIM Ranchi Director Deepak Kumar Shrivasatva.
