Monsoon to reach Ranchi by June 29

Ranchi: Monsoon has arrived in three districts of Jharkhand, Chaibasa, Pakur and Sahebganj.

But monsoon is still awaited in 21 districts.

After a delay of six days, monsoon has entered Jharkhand on June 21.

According to meteorologist Abhishek Anand, the pace of monsoon has slowed down a bit.

Despite the possibility of rain in many districts, it did not rain.

Monsoon is likely to take three to four days to reach the remaining 21 districts including Ranchi.

During this period, the temperature may drop by 2 to 3 °C in the next two to three days.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a strong possibility of light to moderate rain across Jharkhand on June 30 and July 1.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder at some places in the state on Thursday.

On June 29, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at isolated places in the western and adjacent central parts of the state including Ranchi.

In the last 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall occurred at some places in the state.

While heavy rainfall was also recorded at one or two places.

The highest rainfall of 92.0 mm was recorded in Dumri.

The highest maximum temperature of 40.9 °C was recorded in Garhwa while the lowest minimum temperature of 24.4 °C was recorded in Chaibasa.
