Monsoon enters Jharkhand via Santhal Pargana

Ranchi: Monsoon entered Jharkhand after a long wait. Rain showers have been witnessed in many districts. The Meteorological Department, Ranchi has also announced the entry of monsoon in Jharkhand.

Dr. Abhishek Anand said the southwest monsoon has entered Jharkhand via Santal Pargana. Dark clouds are visible in the capital Ranchi. There is a possibility of rain in the state in the next five days. Monsoon will also enter Jamshedpur in the next two days.

On Monday, the Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert regarding rain and thundershowers in Gumla, Latehar, Ranchi, Lohardaga, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Bokaro and other districts. A fall in temperature has been recorded as soon as the monsoon enters Jharkhand.

Monsoon has entered some places of Godda, Sahibganj, Pakur, and Dumka. People got relief from the scorching heat due to the drizzle in many other districts including the capital Ranchi. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rains on June 21 and 22. 

Monsoon may have entered the state late, but the rains at this time can prove to be a big relief for the farmers. The scorching sun and heat wave had troubled the people.

It was getting difficult to get out of the house. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of normal rains in Jharkhand in 2023.
