Ranchi: Due to scorching heat and delays in monsoon, rainfall deficiency in Jharkhand has increased to 54 percent.
This shortage may increase further, as monsoon is likely to arrive in the state around June 19, with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius in most parts of Jharkhand and the state’s highest temperature of 42.5 degrees Celsius recorded in Daltonganj on Friday.
