Ranchi: Jharkhand is currently in the grip of extreme heat. Although, there was a slight drop in the temperature two days ago, but now the temperature has started rising once again. The temperature in 10 districts of the state has crossed 40.
The Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave alert in five districts of Jharkhand on Saturday. Which includes Seraikela-Kharsawan, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Pakur and Godda. The temperature in these districts is also crossing the 40 degree mark.
On May 5 also, there are chances of heat wave in 11 districts of the state, regarding which the Meteorological Department has already appealed to be alert. These include Seraikela- Kharsawan, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Jamtara, Deoghar, Dumka, Sahibganj. Cities like Pakur and Godda are included.
The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of rain in the north-eastern part of the state on May 6. During this period, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding strong wind and thunderstorms. Wind speed can be 40 to 50 km per hour. A slight drop in temperature may be seen.
During the last 24 hours, the weather remained dry in many districts of the state. The highest temperature in the state was recorded at Baharagora at 43.7 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature recorded was 19.8 degrees Celsius. Chaibasa is among the areas where the maximum rise in temperature has been recorded in the last 24 hours.
An increase of 3.9 degrees Celsius has been recorded in the temperature here, after which the temperature of Chaibasa was recorded at 42.4 degrees. The minimum temperature in Daltonganj recorded a drop of 5.7 degrees Celsius. After which the minimum temperature of Daltenganj was recorded at 19.8 degrees Celsius.
After the drop in temperature in many districts of the state, the temperature has started increasing once again. Yesterday there were seven districts in the state where the temperature was crossing 40, there are 10 districts where the temperature was crossing the 40 mark.
