Garhwa: A man who tried to intervene in a fight between two other people was set on fire in Chitvishram village under Banshidhar Nagar Police Station area of this district.
The victim Deepak Soni had tried to intervene during a fight between two people when the culprit Asmuddin poured petrol on him and set him on fire. Post the incident the culprit was nabbed by the police.
The victim has sustained serious burn injuries in the head and face and was later referred to Sadar Hospital for treatment. He said that he just had gone to sort out the matter when the culprit poured petrol on him and tried to set on fire.
Detailing further he said that Asmuddin Ansari was fighting with one Rahul Soni and after hearing the noise he came out and tried to intervene in the matter which angered Ansari who poured petrol on him and set him on fire.
On the other hand, the family members of Ansari have also registered an fir.
