Ranchi: The mains examination for the 7th to 10th JPSC which was slated to commence from January 28 has been cancelled. During the hearing in the Jharkhand High Court, the JPSC informed in this regard. The court has fixed February 15 as the next date for hearing in the case. The hearing was held over the matter through video conferencing in the court of Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice SN Prasad.
During the hearing Advocate general, Rajeev Ranjan and lawyer AK Das who represented JPSC informed the court the mains examination has been cancelled and the claims made by the petitioner over the reservation issue will be probed.
On Monday while hearing the matter the bench had asked the JPSC as to why against 114 vacant posts of general category 15 times results were not published and had directed the JPSC to file an affidavit in this regard on Tuesday. A petition in this regard was filed by one Kumar Sanmay. In the petition, it was claimed that reservation was not followed in the prelims examination and had challenged the results on similar grounds.
