Ranchi: British Deputy High Commissioner Dr. Andrew Fleming reached the administrative building of Ranchi University.
Deputy High Commissioner, Vice Chancellor of RU, Prof. Ajit Kumar Sinha welcomed.
During this period other officials of the university were also present.
Dr. Andrew Fleming also met the students of the university.
Vice Chancellor Ajit Sinha while talking to Dr. Andrew said that we hope that the British High Commission will play an important role in sharing MoU and interaction with British universities for our interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research.
Andrew Fleming said that with the efforts of the Jharkhand government and the Chief Minister, we have signed an MOU.
Under which every year five tribal students of Jharkhand can go to Britain and avail the benefits of fellowship and research.
Dr. Andrew Fleming said regarding the MOU that we are excited to work with Ranchi University.
He said that I have visited 19 states in India and now after coming to Jharkhand, I am very happy with the traditional welcome here.
Dr. Andrew Fleming participated in an interactive session with Mass Comm English and Management students and all the senior officers of RU and shared his experiences by questioning and answering the students.
He praised the TRL department in Ranchi University and the study of nine tribal languages being conducted here.
After this he also saw the Cyber peace Center of Excellence department.
The British High Commission runs scholarship and fellowship programs for Indian students every year.
In which meritorious students having two years of experience can take advantage of it.
