Locals will get 75 percent reservation in companies operating in private sector: Hemant Soren

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday said that 75 percent of jobs in private companies operating in the state will be provided to the locals for which rules have been approved in the cabinet and now it will be realized on the ground.

Addressing a mega appointment letter distribution program here he said that whether it is the private or the government sector the process of appointments will continue nonstop. He said that there was no dearth of talent in the youth of the state and the state government is enhancing the skills of the youth and helping them get jobs however the youth should not consider this as a last opportunity and keep on moving forward in their lives.

He said the government is taking continuous steps for the skill development of the youth and they are being linked with employment and self-employment so that their income can increase and they can lead a better life. Adding further he said that the government is seriously contemplating on the steps to check migration which happens in large number from the state. He said that new opportunities are being created so that the youth can find jobs near their homes moreover the government is also ensuring the safe return of those who get trapped in abroad in search of jobs and is also ensuring that they get their due payments.

The Chief Minister said that after the creation of the state there was no recruitment policy but not only did his government come out with the same but also started the process to fill the vacant posts and appointments are on through JPSC and JSSC. He said complete transparency and honesty is being adopted in conducting the exams of the JPSC which was reflected in the results of the 7-10th JPSC in which more than 30 students from BPL families passed the exams and now will work as officers in different blocks.

Further, he said that to make more students appear in the exams the fee was also reduced to Rs 100 for candidates of the general category and Rs 50 for those belonging to SC ST communities. He said that the government also set a new record in coming out with the results and completed the entire process in 251 days and after the publishing of the final results the appointment letters were given in 38 days. He pointed out that for the first time after the creation of the state agriculture officers have been appointed.

Hemant Soren said that there is also no dearth of sports talent in the state therefore his government has taken many concrete steps for their progress as part of which players are being given direct jobs and are also being extended financial help due to which they are making a name for themselves at national and international level.

The Chief Minister said that social Security is the top priority for the state government as part of old age widows divyangs and single women are being provided pension, 15 lakh new ration cards have been issued, and under Sona Sobran Yojana Saree dhoti/lungi is being provided at Rs 10 two times a year moreover Mnrega wages has been increased by Rs 27 and on the other hand, the government has also decided to provide 100 units of free power and implement old pension scheme in the state.

He said that hard working people of Jharkhand are playing an important role in development of the nation but despite being blessed with natural and mineral reserves Jharkhand is backward mainly due to flaws in the system and lack of dedication towards development however with the cooperation of people Jharkhand will stand among developed states of the country.

Those present on the occasion included cabinet ministers Aalamgir Aalam, Satyanand Bhokta, JMM MPs Vijay Hansda and Dr Mahua Majhi, several MLAs and senior officials of the government.
