Ranchi: A large crowd of people gathered along Ratu Road, Ranchi, an hour before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadshow, which is set to take place from OTC Ground to Ratu Road Chowk. The roadshow, part of his campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, will begin at 4:50 pm and is expected to last for about one and a half hours.
Security arrangements were in full force with police forces deployed throughout the route, ensuring a smooth and secure event. The roadshow will see PM Modi interacting with the public as he travels from OTC Ground to the New Ratu intersection.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi addressed election rallies in Chandankyari and Gumla in Bokaro district, as part of his extensive campaigning in Jharkhand.
This marks PM Modi’s fourth roadshow in Ranchi. His previous roadshows in the city include one from the airport to Birsa Chowk during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, another in November 2023, and yet another from Hinoo Chowk to Ratu Chowk earlier this year.
The police have been closely monitoring the security arrangements, with oversight from the police headquarters. The concerned Range DIG is also involved in reviewing and ensuring the safety measures are in place.
As the roadshow passes New Market Chowk, the Prime Minister’s convoy will head towards the airport, with a BJP office located along the route. Authorities anticipate large crowds here as well and have made additional security preparations to manage any potential gatherings. If the convoy makes any stops to greet people, the police are fully prepared to handle the situation and maintain order.
