Lalu statement recorded in fodder scam case

Ranchi, July 11 : RJD chief and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav recorded his statement in a special CBI court in Ranchi on Tuesday.

According to Lalu lawyer, the statement was recorded in RC 68A/96 related to fraudulent withdrawal of money from Chaibasa treasury in Shiva Pal Singh CBI court . Total 17 questions were asked by the court.  Lalu pleaded innocence and said that he has been implicated by the  CBI at behest of the his opponents.

Lalu will again appear in the CBI court on July 13.

Lalu Yadav had already been convicted in a fodder scam and he was awarded five years sentence in October 2013. He is currently on bail. He is accused in five cases of  multi million Animal Husbandry Department (AHD) scam which is popularly known as fodder scam case.

In May Suprme Court had set aside the Jharkhand High Court and asked to face trail in all cases separately.
