Ranchi: Police have arrested a child in possession of a stolen mobile phone near the ongoing National Saras Mela at Bapu Vatika in Morhabadi. Following this, two other children involved in theft were also apprehended by the police.
Upon interrogation, one of the children revealed the identity of the person who had been orchestrating the thefts. Acting on this information, the police arrested the main accused, Shivji Mahato, who is originally from Sahibganj.
Ranchi SP Rajkumar Mehta addressed the media during a press conference, confirming the arrest and the ongoing investigation into the thefts.
