Los Angeles: Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has revealed that she has not visited a grocery store in more than a decade.
Speaking on her sister Khloe Kardashian’s podcast Khloe In Wonderland, Kim shared that she avoids supermarkets altogether and would only consider going if given special VIP treatment, including having the store shut down exclusively for her.
Recalling her last visit, Kim said, “I feel like we went to Erewhon on our show maybe six years ago, but before that it was probably 12 years. It’s likely been around 15 years.”
According to Female First UK, the mother of four—North (12), Saint (10), Chicago (8), and Psalm (6), whom she shares with ex-husband Kanye West—has even requested Ralphs, one of the oldest supermarket chains in the US, to allow her private access to their store. “I’ve been begging Ralph’s,” she admitted.
Despite staying away from grocery stores, Kim said she regularly visits shopping malls, often accompanied by her eldest daughter, North. “I go to the mall all the time, with North,” she said.
During the podcast, Kim and Khloe, 41, emphasized that they are “not incompetent human beings” and do handle everyday tasks like housework. Kim also spoke about encouraging North to explore her interests through practical learning. She revealed that North is taking a brand-building course after showing interest in designing hats and jewellery. “She had an idea of making hats and jewellery, so we turned it into a course. It’s been amazing to see her grow,” Kim said.
North is also enrolled in a music course, which Kim said has helped strengthen her bond with her father. “Music and producing aren’t really my thing—that’s something she shares with her dad. But we communicate closely and respect Kanye’s opinions when it comes to the kids,” she added.
Kim also dismissed suggestions that she treats North as her “best friend,” making it clear she maintains clear boundaries as a parent.
