Ranchi: A woman from Khunti was kept under arrest for 15 days.
The woman was kept hostage in the Genetic Hospital located near the water tank of Bariatu.
The woman’s husband alleged that his wife was not being allowed to go home due to non-payment of hospital dues.
The woman’s husband complained about this to CID DG Anurag Gupta.
After that a team of CID and a team of Sadar police station reached the hospital and freed the woman from there.
The woman has been sent home. At present, a case is being registered after knowing the stand of the hospital management.
The woman was pregnant; on May 28, the auto driver had taken her to a private hospital instead of RIMS.
For the last 15 days, the woman was neither being treated nor given food there.
After which a complaint was made to CID.
The CID team freed the woman on Thursday.
