Justice for Ankita: CM announces Rs 10 lakh as compensation, fast track court to dispose off case, ADG rank officer to submit progress of probe

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister a series of steps including providing compensation of Rs 10 lakh and setting up of a fast track court to ensure justice to Dumka’s daughter Ankita who lost her battle for life at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences here after being set on fire by a jilted lover on August 23. 

The girl passed away on Sunday and after postmortem, her body reached her ancestral home in sub capital where her last rites were performed amid elaborate security arrangements in which apart from senior police and administrative officials thousands of locals also participated. Later a team of the Dumka district administration also handed over a cheque of Rs 10 lakh as compensation to the family.
