JPSC civil services mains result declared, 864 candidates qualify

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has declared the results of the 2023 Civil Services Mains Examination. A total of 864 candidates have cleared the exam, bringing relief to thousands of aspirants who had been awaiting the outcome for months.

The result was released on Tuesday, amid growing pressure from candidates. Recently, several aspirants had staged a hunger strike outside the JPSC office demanding the release of results. A delegation of candidates had also met the Governor, who assured them of quick action after speaking directly with the JPSC chairman. Following that assurance, the commission has now published the mains results and is expected to announce details of the interview and final selection process soon.

The JPSC civil services exams (11th to 13th combined) were conducted for 342 posts. The preliminary exam was held on March 17, 2024, and its result was declared on April 22, with 7,011 candidates qualifying for the mains. The mains examination took place from June 22 to 24, 2024.
