Ranchi: Opposing the JEE mains and NEET exams the ruling JMM on Thursday said that it would register FIR against the Union Education Minister if any child gets infected with Coronavirus while appearing for these two exams as the Centre was deliberately putting the life of the children in danger.
Addressing a press conference here JMM General Secretary and spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said that all hotels and lodges are closed while public transport is also closed then how would the students from Garhwa would come to Ranchi and where they would stay.
He said that even if the students happen to turn up for exams they would have to at least pay Rs 10,000 for making all the arrangements which were difficult for middle, lower-middle-class family or those from poor sections.
He said that the government was adamant to conduct the exams as in these exams children from big corporate houses like Adani and Ambani do not participate. Bhattacharya said that the present government is not going to make any law for the people as earlier the social assessment impact was weakened while now environmental assessment impact is also being set aside.
The JMM spokesperson said that the strong government under Chief Minister Hemant Soren would not allow any industrialization without going through the social and environmental assessment impact.
To another query, he said that rate fixed by the health department for the treatment of Coronavirus patients in private hospitals of the state was higher and similar to the rates of metropolitan cities and people of a backward state like Jharkhand would not be able to pay so much money therefore the government should reconsider the rates.
