New Delhi/Ranchi: Jharkhand’s pavilion continued to attract a steady stream of visitors on the third day of Bharat Tex 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, with eco-friendly bamboo-based products emerging as one of the biggest highlights. Among the standout exhibits were bamboo-finished stainless steel bottles and mugs, which won praise from domestic and international buyers, industry representatives and visitors alike.
Developed by the Anjaneya Bamboo Cluster in Baharagora, East Singhbhum district, the products combine traditional bamboo craftsmanship with modern technology to offer sustainable and practical alternatives for everyday use.
The bamboo-clad stainless steel bottle is designed to keep hot or cold beverages at the desired temperature for 12 to 14 hours, while the bamboo-and-steel mug, fitted with a food-grade plastic lid, maintains beverage temperature for up to four hours. Their attractive design, premium finish and eco-friendly appeal have made them a major crowd-puller at the exhibition.
Bharat Tex 2026 is providing Jharkhand with a global platform to showcase its “Local to Global” vision. Alongside bamboo innovations, the state is displaying its rich collection of Tasar silk, GI-tagged products, handloom and handicrafts, strengthening its presence in international markets. Initiatives such as the Anjaneya Bamboo Cluster are not only preserving traditional craftsmanship but also creating new export opportunities while empowering local artisans.
The cluster is giving fresh identity to Jharkhand’s rich bamboo craft heritage by blending it with contemporary design and advanced manufacturing techniques. In addition to decorative items, furniture and lifestyle products, it uses modern technologies such as laser cutting, laser engraving, CNC routing and customised design solutions to produce export-quality products.
With more than 6,000 international buyers from over 130 countries and over 130,000 business visitors participating in Bharat Tex 2026, the event is opening new doors for Jharkhand’s MSMEs, artisans and entrepreneurs. It is expected to boost exports, attract investment and help the state’s handcrafted and bamboo-based products gain wider recognition in global markets.
