Ranchi: The date of commencement of the Vande Bharat train running from Ranchi to Howrah has been fixed. Ranchi-Howrah Vande Bharat train will run from the capital Ranchi from Sept 24. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off this train along with other nine new Vande Bharat trains of the country. Its preparations are almost complete.
According to the information, the routes of this train have also been decided. South-Eastern Railway has received eight rakes for this train from Chennai Coach Factory.
According to the information given by railway officials regarding the operation of the train, the Ranchi-Howrah Vande Bharat train will be started from Ranchi Railway Station. From Ranchi, the train will go to Howrah via Muri, Jhalda, Purulia, Chandil, Tatanagar, Ghatshila, Jhargram and Kharagpur. The trial of the train will take place at 12:45 pm on the first day. According to the information received, it has not been decided at what time this train will run regularly.
The timing for the operation of this train has not been decided by South-Eastern Railways. However, two timetables for this have been sent to the Railway Board. According to railway sources, the timetable that has been sent to the board is being considered. The board is considering fixing train timings from both sides, Ranchi to Howrah and Howrah to Ranchi.
According to the first timetable sent to the board, the train is scheduled to depart from Howrah at 8 am and reach Ranchi at 12:55 pm. Whereas, in return, the train has been proposed to depart from Ranchi at 3:20 pm and reach Howrah at 8:10 pm.
As per the second timetable, the train will depart from Ranchi at 5:20 am and reach Howrah at 11:55 am. At the same time, this train will leave from Howrah at 3:30 pm and will reach Ranchi at 10:10 pm. Ranchi-Howrah will be the first Vande Bharat train, which will be maintained by Ranchi Railway Division.
