Ranchi: The administration in Jharkhand is on full alert in view of the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections. Security arrangements have been tightened across the state, and continuous vehicle checking drives are being carried out. As part of this intensified vigilance, the police achieved a major breakthrough in the state capital, Ranchi.
During a routine vehicle checking operation near Katla Mod in Ranchi, the police seized approximately ₹9 lakh in cash from a vehicle. According to officials, the action was taken as part of regular inspection procedures. The individual transporting the cash is currently being questioned, and documents related to the source of the money are being verified.
The administration stated that strict checking drives will continue to prevent the use of illegal money during the elections. Following the incident, security and surveillance in the area have been further strengthened. The police are currently investigating the matter and proceeding with necessary legal action.
