Jharkhand HC Judge Aparesh Kumar shifted to Tripura, Sanjay Kumar Mishra appointed as new judge

Ranchi: Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh of the Jharkhand High Court has been transferred to Tripura High Court. The order has been approved by the Supreme Court Collegium. In his place, Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra has been appointed as judge of the Jharkhand High Court. Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra has been transferred from Uttarakhand to Jharkhand.

Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh was appointed at the Jharkhand High Court about 11 years ago. During his tenure here, he heard many important cases and passed crucial orders. Meanwhile born on 29.12.1961 in Bolangir of Odisha Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra had schooling at Tikra Upper Primary School and passed out Higher Secondary Certificate Examination from Prithviraj High School, Bolangir in the year 1977. He Completed B Com (Hons.) from Rajendra College, Bolangir in 1982 and completed M Com from Delhi University in 1984.

He completed his LLB from Law Faculty, Delhi University in 1987. From March, 1988 joined the profession and started practice in Bolangir District Courts under the guidance of his father Markanda Mishra. He conducted several sessions cases, civil suits, civil appeals independently and acted as Honorary Law Lecturer of Bolangir Law College.

He Secured the 1st position in the Recruitment Examination for District Judges from Bar and on 16.2.1999 joined as Additional District and Sessions Judge, Jeypore. He also worked as District Sessions Judge, Sundergarh, Dhenkanal, Special Judge (CBI), Bhubaneswar and joined as Registrar General of Orissa High Court. He was Elevated as a Judge of the Orissa High Court on 07.10.2009.
