Jharkhand govt launches Tatkal Seva to issue caste and residential certificates

Ranchi, Dec 29: The state government has started the Tatkal facility
on the Jharseva Portal under which applications for issuing of caste,
residential and income certificates would be issued within 10 days.

Principal Secretary of the Personnel Department Nidhi Khare said that
to issue these certificates the state government has launched Tatkal
Seva and said that instructions have been issued to the DCs to make
sure that the certificates are issued to the applicants within the
stipulated time frame of the Tatkal service. She said that the
facility has been started to dispose off urgent applications and to
ensure that the students get these certificates on an early basis.

She said that under Right to Services Act the maximum time limit or
issue of caste/residential and income certificate is 30 days but on
several occasions it has been found that at the time of
recruitment/admission and taking advantage of government schemes the
department concerned and organisation demand the certificates in less
than 30 days.
