Gumla : Governor CP Radhakrishnan said on the occasion of ‘Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ program organized in Gumla that ‘Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ is a commitment and resolve towards building a developed strong nation.
This is a testament to our commitment to ensuring that the benefits of development reach every citizen and that no one is deprived of it.
The Governor said that ‘Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ was launched by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the holy land of Lord Birsa Munda on the occasion of ‘Tribal Pride Day’.
The objective of the program is to create awareness among the people about various schemes and initiatives of the Central Government across the country.
He said that this Yatra is an innovative way to inform and educate people about welfare schemes and programs which is helpful in their socio-economic development.
The Governor said that the purpose of this yatra is to make people aware of the government schemes and to get the benefits of these schemes.
This yatra will ensure that people get the benefits of schemes related to cleanliness, financial services, LPG cylinders, housing, food security, nutrition, health, clean drinking water.
The scheme of providing five kilograms of free food grains, run by the Honorable Prime Minister towards food security, has been extended for the next 5 years.
Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, continuous work is being done to provide clean drinking water to every family.
LPG cylinders are being provided to women under the Ujjwala scheme, so that they get freedom from harmful smoke.
Health security is also being provided under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
The Governor distributed the assets among the beneficiaries and also gave a congratulatory letter to the head of the same village for her cooperation in 100 percent digitization of land related data.
