Jharkhand Governor holds a meeting with officials of Power Grid Corporation

Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan attended a meeting with the officials of Power Grid Corporation in Palamu district of Jharkhand on Friday. He reviewed the development work of Power Grid Corporation in  Palamu district.

He discussed with the officials about how much compensation have been dispersed among villagers against land acquisition for Power Grid Corporation in Palamu district under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). He spoke to villagers about Irrigation facilities and rainwater Harvesting.

He gave instructions to the officials for the construction of Check Dams in the area. Governor Radhakrishnan also distributed Rs 1 Lakh Cheque to widows under Widow Pension Yojana. Victims of the Dhanbad Rail tragedy in which labourers were killed while putting Halt near the track few days ago were also taken care by Jharkhand Governor and honourable Governor gave instructions to Deputy Commissioner for the livelihood, Education of their Children and Marriage of their daughters should be taken care under various government welfare policies. 

Jharkhand Governor said “If Vulnerable Tribal Groups are not developed then Development of the state is not possible”. Governor Radhakrishnan added “Upliftment of Tribal Groups are only possible by taking benefits of Central
and State Government Welfare Policies.” He also gave instructions to officials of the Jharkhand Government that if Doctor’s and School Teachers should make their attendance through Biometric Technology if they are not doing the same then their payment should be stopped.

Governor also took a visit to Ramkanda village in the Garhwa district of Jharkhand. He said Industrial development is in progress. He added that if villages would develop then Panchayat would develop and if Panchayat would develop then Block would develop and if Block would develop then District would develop and if district would develop then State would develop. He felicitated beneficiaries under various development programmes of the state government.
