All preparations have been completed in the state to celebrate the 74th independence day of the nation.
The main function in this regard would be held in the historic Morabadi Grounds of the state capital where Chief Minister Hemant Soren would hoist the national flag at 9 am.
However, this time around the celebrations would have a rather subdued look in wake of the coronavirus pandemic, further as per the instructions of the union home ministry regarding celebrations of Independence Day the state government has made arrangements accordingly.
The district administration has not issued any passes for this year’s celebrations but has extended an invitation to the Corona warriors including doctors, policemen and paramedical staff and people who have defeated Coronavirus to attend the programme.
Common people have been urged not to make a crowd at the venue but rather watch the function and listen to the speech of the Chief Minister on various online portals and YouTube channel.
In the wake of the Celebrations the traffic police have made changes in the movement of the vehicles and from 6 am in the morning to 10 pm in the night. A ban has been imposed on the entry of big vehicles in the city and apart from vehicles belonging to the officials’ corona warriors and media houses all other vehicles will not be allowed to get inside the venue.
Due to the pandemic, even the MPs and MLAs have been extended the invitation to attend the function on phone only and apart from them the elected representatives no worker of any political party would be allowed at the venue.
